In shallow contemplation
Should you choose the JC road, the A-Level Cert is much like your only salvation. That said, an A-Level Cert is practically useless unless it’s populated with As and/or Bs; you can’t really look for a decent job with it. The only thing you can look for with an A-Level Cert (correct me if I’m wrong) is a placing in a university, and you need those As and Bs to do that. I know quite a lot of people who did their A’s but winded up at poly anyway because their results weren’t satisfactory enough to enter a local university course of their choice. There are also others who dropped out of JC halfway because they failed to promote or because they just couldn’t take the stress.
